This artwork by Jordan Casteel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Jonathan sold for USD 325,000.00 (€ 291,505.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jordan Casteel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crockett Brothers, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 806,500.00 (€ 714,538.85).

In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Jonathan für USD 325.000,00 (€ 291.505,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jordan Casteel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crockett Brothers beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 806.500,00 (€ 714.538,85) versteigert wurde.
