This artwork by Jordan Casteel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Self Portrait sold for USD 237,500.00 (€ 213,023.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jordan Casteel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crockett Brothers, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 806,500.00 (€ 714,538.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jordan Casteel erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Self Portrait für USD 237.500,00 (€ 213.023,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jordan Casteel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crockett Brothers beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 806.500,00 (€ 714.538,85) versteigert wurde.
