Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jonathan Skelton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2010. In the An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection auction, the work The Archbishop'S Palace, Croydon sold for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,514.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jonathan Skelton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Ponte Lucano and the Tomb of the Plautii, Rome sold at auction in December 2012 with the realized price of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,707.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jonathan Skelton erzielte im Juli 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Exceptional Eye: A Private British Collection wurde die Arbeit The Archbishop'S Palace, Croydon für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.514,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00.
