Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lord Tyrawley'S House Upon Greenwich Hill by Jonathan Skelton was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,856.05), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Jonathan Skelton have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,707.99) in December 2012 for the work The Ponte Lucano and the Tomb of the Plautii, Rome.
