This artwork by Jon Schueler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work The Wave sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,327.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jon Schueler; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Sky, Red Sea sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,092.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jon Schueler erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit The Wave für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.327,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00.
