Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jon Schueler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2011. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work White on Black sold for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,405.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jon Schueler; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Sky, Red Sea sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,092.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jon Schueler erzielte im Januar 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit White on Black für USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.405,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jon Schueler; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red Sky, Red Sea im Juli 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.092,54).
