Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Dark Bay Stallion, Possibly The Byerley Turk, Held By A Groom In A Landscape by John Wootton was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,636.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Wootton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Hunting Party; Possibly Depicting Charles Spencer, 3Rd Duke Of Marlborough (1706-1758) And His Wife Elizabeth, Countess Of Marlborough (D.1761) in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 577,250.00 (€ 735,261.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Dark Bay Stallion, Possibly The Byerley Turk, Held By A Groom In A Landscape von John Wootton kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion.
