In November 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Reclining Figure by John Whorf. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 2,987.95), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Whorf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On The Dunes in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 51,000.00 (€ 38,133.69).

Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining Figure von John Whorf zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 2.987,95) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Whorf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On The Dunes im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.000,00 (€ 38.133,69).
