Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES, GOLD BOXES & OBJECTS OF VERTU, which included the work A young lady, facing right in white dress with frilled collar, strand of blue beads at her right sleeve by John Thomas Barber Beaumont. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Thomas Barber Beaumont - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,840.52).

Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES, GOLD BOXES & OBJECTS OF VERTU durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady, facing right in white dress with frilled collar, strand of blue beads at her right sleeve von John Thomas Barber Beaumont zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Thomas Barber Beaumont mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.840,52) versteigert wurde.
