Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A young lady, in white dress with high collar, upswept brown curling hair by John Thomas Barber Beaumont was sold in the IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES auction at Christies in London in May 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 896.25 (€ 1,344.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Thomas Barber Beaumont have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,840.52).

Die Arbeit A young lady, in white dress with high collar, upswept brown curling hair von John Thomas Barber Beaumont wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 896,25 (€ 1.344,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Thomas Barber Beaumont auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.840,52).
