In the Portrait Miniatures & Objects of Vertu auction, the work A gentleman, in blue coat, white waistcoat, and yellow gilet sold for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,119.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Thomas Barber Beaumont - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,840.52).
