Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by John Thomas Barber Beaumont achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2007. In the Portrait Miniatures & Objects of Vertu auction, the work A gentleman, in blue coat, white waistcoat, and yellow gilet sold for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,119.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Thomas Barber Beaumont - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,840.52).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Thomas Barber Beaumont erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Portrait Miniatures & Objects of Vertu wurde die Arbeit A gentleman, in blue coat, white waistcoat, and yellow gilet für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.119,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00.
