The work Self portrait no. 1 (i); Le Sirenuse (ii) by John Stanton Ward was worth GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,754.79) to a buyer in November 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Annabel's at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Stanton Ward; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Annabel's, Study for The Founder Members sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 13,125.00 (€ 14,804.60).
