Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Harry Waugh (i); Charlie, Annabel's (ii) by John Stanton Ward was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 986.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Stanton Ward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Annabel's, Study for The Founder Members in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 13,125.00 (€ 14,804.60).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 986,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Stanton Ward erzielen.
