Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by John Stanton Ward achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2018. In the Annabel's auction, the work Annabel's, the Buddha room (i); Louise (ii) sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,101.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by John Stanton Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Annabel's, Study for The Founder Members in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 13,125.00 (€ 14,804.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Stanton Ward erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Annabel's wurde die Arbeit Annabel's, the Buddha room (i); Louise (ii) für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.101,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Stanton Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Annabel's, Study for The Founder Members im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.125,00 (€ 14.804,60).
