Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Paul Prudhomme by John Stanton Ward was sold in the Annabel's auction at Christies in London in November 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,691.95), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Stanton Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Annabel's, Study for The Founder Members in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 13,125.00 (€ 14,804.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Paul Prudhomme von John Stanton Ward wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Annabel's bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.691,95) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Stanton Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Annabel's, Study for The Founder Members im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.125,00 (€ 14.804,60).
