Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Neauchâtel roofs and the chain of the Alps, Switzerland ( recto ); and Cloud study ( verso ) by John Ruskin was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,215.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ruskin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bellinzona, Switzerland, looking north towards the St. Gotthard pass in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 274,050.00 (€ 393,402.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Neauchâtel roofs and the chain of the Alps, Switzerland ( recto ); and Cloud study ( verso ) von John Ruskin kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
