Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 611.00 (€ 956.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Murray Thomson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trumpeters Of 'The Blues' At The Edinburgh Tattoo in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,739.17).
