Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Orsi polari by John Murray Thomson for EUR 2,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Art, Collections, Wonderful Passions | The Giorgio Soavi Collection at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,200.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Murray Thomson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trumpeters Of 'The Blues' At The Edinburgh Tattoo in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,739.17).
