Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 298.75 (€ 448.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Miers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Regency Portrait Silhouettes, which sold at auction in December 2003 for AUD 1,997.50 (€ 1,192.44).
