Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Summer's Summary by John McAllister. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,339.47), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John McAllister - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Days Gently Embered, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,507.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer's Summary von John McAllister zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 10.339,47) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John McAllister mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Days Gently Embered beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.507,45) versteigert wurde.
