Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tinted and Towering by John McAllister was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,584.00 (€ 4,128.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by John McAllister have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Days Gently Embered in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,507.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tinted and Towering von John McAllister kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.584,00 (€ 4.128,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John McAllister auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Days Gently Embered im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.507,45).
