Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Tinted and Towering by John McAllister for GBP 2,520.00 (€ 3,005.83). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John McAllister achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Days Gently Embered in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,507.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tinted and Towering von John McAllister für GBP 2.520,00 (€ 3.005,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John McAllister erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Days Gently Embered im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.507,45).
