Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John MacWhirter could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in September 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Lilla Bukowskis S189 auction, the work Figurer i höstlandskap changed hands for SEK 9,600.00 (€ 940.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John MacWhirter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Exile's Garden in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 18,812.00 (€ 21,294.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John MacWhirter konnte im September 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Lilla Bukowskis S189 wechselte die Arbeit Figurer i höstlandskap für SEK 9.600,00 (€ 940,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John MacWhirter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Exile's Garden im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.812,00 (€ 21.294,06).
