Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of an Italian Lake by John MacWhirter was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,344.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John MacWhirter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Exile's Garden in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 18,812.00 (€ 21,294.06).
