The price achieved of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 26,725.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by John MacLauchlan Milne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St Paul de Vence in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 125,745.48).
