Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work A Royal Yacht Squadron cutter running inshore out of the tide; and 'Smugglers landing' by John Lynn for GBP 956.25 (€ 1,089.81). This price was achieved in the auction The Marine Sale at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Lynn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lord Belfast's yacht Emily off the Mediterranean coast with a xebec off her port bow in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 28,200.00 (€ 45,250.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Royal Yacht Squadron cutter running inshore out of the tide; and 'Smugglers landing' von John Lynn für GBP 956,25 (€ 1.089,81) erwerben.
