This artwork by John Luke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2018. In the Irish Art auction, the work Pax sold for GBP 225,000.00 (€ 252,703.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. This high result makes Pax the most expensive artwork by John Luke that we have observed at auctions so far.
