Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl's Head by John Luke was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2003. The price achieved of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 10,822.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Luke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pax in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 252,703.92).
