Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Luke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pax in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 252,703.92).

Die Arbeit Still life with drapery von John Luke kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 3.708,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Luke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pax im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 225.000,00 (€ 252.703,92).
