Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain Composition by John Luke was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 20,840.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Luke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pax in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 252,703.92).

Die Arbeit Mountain Composition von John Luke wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.750,00 (€ 20.840,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Luke erzielen.
