In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Autumn at Scalpay, Isle of Harris sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by John Lowrie Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,900.95).
