Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work 'Isle of Erraid from Iona' by John Lowrie Morrison. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,225.21). Admittedly, works by John Lowrie Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,900.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Isle of Erraid from Iona' von John Lowrie Morrison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.225,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Lowrie Morrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.900,95).
