Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work 'Croft on the Machair, Isle of Iona' by John Lowrie Morrison. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,670.25). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Lowrie Morrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona, which sold at auction in May 2021 for GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,900.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Croft on the Machair, Isle of Iona' von John Lowrie Morrison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.670,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Lowrie Morrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.900,95) versteigert wurde.
