In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by John Levee. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,999.25), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Levee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work February Iv 1960, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 40,343.13).

Im März 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Levee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.999,25) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Levee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit February Iv 1960 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 40.343,13) versteigert wurde.
