Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Looking to the City by John Keane for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,423.17). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Keane have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Every Time We Say Goodbye in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,226.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Looking to the City von John Keane für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.423,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Keane auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Every Time We Say Goodbye im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.226,35).
