In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction Irish Sale Part II, which included the work Malahide, Co. Dublin by John Henry Campbell. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 780.00 (€ 1,138.55), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Henry Campbell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive wooded landscape, Co. Wicklow. in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 19,699.14).

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Malahide, Co. Dublin von John Henry Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.138,55) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Henry Campbell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive wooded landscape, Co. Wicklow. im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 19.699,14).
