The work Omen, 1934 by John Gutmann was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2011. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,697.91), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Gutmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First Drive-in Theatre, Los Angeles, 1935, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,620.95).

Für andere Arbeiten von John Gutmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit First Drive-in Theatre, Los Angeles, 1935 beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.620,95) versteigert wurde.
