In the Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II auction, the work Early Drive-in, Hollywood, 1935 changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,059.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Gutmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work First Drive-in Theatre, Los Angeles, 1935 in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,620.95).
