It achieved a price of GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,234.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Dawson Watson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fireside Thoughts, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,066.40).

Für andere Arbeiten von John Dawson Watson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fireside Thoughts beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.066,40) versteigert wurde.
