In June 2013 Christies in London held the auction Sporting and Wildlife Art, which included the work The Pride Of The Hunt by John Charlton. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,015.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by John Charlton have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2013 the work 'God save the Queen': Queen Victoria arriving at St Paul's Cathedral on the Occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Thanksgiving Service, 22 June 1897 was auctioned for GBP 55,875.00 (€ 63,846.93).
