Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Plymouth Breakwater by John Brett was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,314.11). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Brett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pearly Summer in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 144,150.00 (€ 210,454.45).
