Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Studio by John Bradley Storrs for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,625.22). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by John Bradley Storrs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Sculpture in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 290,500.00 (€ 202,072.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Studio von John Bradley Storrs für USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.625,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Bradley Storrs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Sculpture im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 290.500,00 (€ 202.072,90).
