A top price for John Bradley Storrs - as previously expected
The work Abstract Sculpture by John Bradley Storrs was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2011. The price achieved of USD 290,500.00 (€ 202,072.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Abstract Sculpture is the most expensive artwork by John Bradley Storrs that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Abstract Sculpture von John Bradley Storrs wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 290.500,00 (€ 202.072,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Abstract Sculpture das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Bradley Storrs, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
