Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a boy by John Boyd was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,127.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Café, Fes in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a boy von John Boyd kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.127,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Café, Fes im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 16.828,16).
