Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art and the Collection of the, which included the work Gramarye of the Sign (My Deceiver Liveth) by John Boyd. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,010.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Café, Fes, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,828.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art and the Collection of the durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gramarye of the Sign (My Deceiver Liveth) von John Boyd zur Versteigerung kam.
