Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Baeder could be acquired at Sothebys in Online in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Fog City Diner, 1997 changed hands for USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,194.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Baeder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 45,801.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Baeder konnte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in Online für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Fog City Diner, 1997 für USD 6.400,00 (€ 5.194,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Baeder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 54.000,00 (€ 45.801,53).
