Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV, which included the work View of a Mediterranean port with figures filling barrels from a fountain by Johannes Lingelbach. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Lingelbach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peasants Dancing The Tarantella Outside An Inn In A Hilly Italianate Landscape in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 116,470.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of a Mediterranean port with figures filling barrels from a fountain von Johannes Lingelbach zur Versteigerung kam.
