In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A cavalry skirmish between Christians and Ottomans sold for GBP 12,495.00 (€ 14,240.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Lingelbach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peasants Dancing The Tarantella Outside An Inn In A Hilly Italianate Landscape in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 116,470.61).
