Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River Landscape With A Distant View Of Fort Saint-Jean And The Chateau De Pierre-Seize, Lyon by Johannes Lingelbach was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 37,389.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Lingelbach - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peasants Dancing The Tarantella Outside An Inn In A Hilly Italianate Landscape, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 97,250.00 (€ 116,470.61).

Die Arbeit River Landscape With A Distant View Of Fort Saint-Jean And The Chateau De Pierre-Seize, Lyon von Johannes Lingelbach kam im November 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 26.250,00 (€ 37.389,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
