Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 37,389.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Lingelbach - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peasants Dancing The Tarantella Outside An Inn In A Hilly Italianate Landscape, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 97,250.00 (€ 116,470.61).
