Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eye Mantra by Joe Tilson was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in September last year. The price achieved of GBP 701.25 (€ 798.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Tilson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Secret in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 236,464.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Eye Mantra von Joe Tilson wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 701,25 (€ 798,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Tilson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Secret im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 236.464,29).
